What exactly does the API return?
Technical facts about the URL you submit: each detected technology's slug, display name, categories (CMS, Analytics, CDN…) and a confidence score — derived from public HTTP responses, DNS records and TLS certificates. No personal or contact data, ever.
What happens when I hit my monthly quota?
Requests return 429 until your quota resets on the 1st of
the month (UTC). Upgrading to a bigger plan takes effect immediately.
Failed lookups (unreachable targets) never count against your quota.
Are repeated lookups cached?
Yes — results are cached per site for 7 days, so repeated lookups are
fast and consistent. Cached responses are flagged with
"cached": true.
Can I cancel? Is there a refund?
Cancel anytime — you keep access until the end of the paid period. And if WhatPowers isn't for you, e-mail us within 14 days of your first purchase for a full refund, no questions asked.
